Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed around a respected early childhood theorist named Jean Piaget. He believed children learn best through hands-on, active experience. Because of this, we make sure our providers provide an appropriate environment, routine, and materials. Our materials simplify the process for our teachers by providing them with a developmentally appropriate plan for the month, along with the materials for successfully implementing that plan. Our curriculum consists of science projects, songs & rhymes, storybooks, birthday calendars, and a parent newsletter for each month. Our children spend a great deal of their time every day engaged in play, therefore, our teachers must offer a fun environment where they are able to interact with each other and learn new ideas. This is achieved at our center through learning centers such as house area, block area, art area, and sensory table. Our curriculum is broken down into three different age-appropriate areas to fit each child’s needs and is equally suitable for all child care settings.

Nuestro plan de estudios está diseñado en torno a un respetado teórico de la primera infancia llamado Jean Piaget. Él creía que los niños aprenden mejor a través de la experiencia práctica y activa. Debido a esto, nos aseguramos de que nuestros proveedores brinden un entorno, rutina y materiales apropiados. Nuestros materiales simplifican el proceso para nuestros maestros al proporcionarles un plan de desarrollo apropiado para el mes, junto con los materiales para implementar con éxito ese plan. Nuestro plan de estudios consta de proyectos de ciencias, canciones y rimas, libros de cuentos, calendarios de cumpleaños y un boletín para padres para cada mes. Nuestros niños pasan gran parte de su tiempo todos los días jugando, por lo tanto, nuestros maestros deben ofrecer un ambiente divertido donde puedan interactuar entre ellos y aprender nuevas ideas. Esto se logra en nuestro centro a través de centros de aprendizaje como área de la casa, área de bloques, área de arte y mesa sensorial. Nuestro plan de estudios se divide en tres áreas diferentes apropiadas para la edad para satisfacer las necesidades de cada niño y es igualmente adecuado para todos los entornos de cuidado infantil.

Immersion
Program
ABC Children’s Learning Center provides students with content instruction and activities in English and Spanish. Students enrolled in the program may have English or Spanish as their first language and learn Spanish or English as a second language through immersion techniques. Students will be briefly introduced to academic concepts in English. This provides an opportunity to reinforce their background knowledge in English and activate their minds to prepare them to learn the concepts in Spanish. After the short introduction in English the rest of the day and week, the student will be immersed in Spanish with English used as a support only when absolutely needed. Students will sing, dance, play, create, and learn in a Spanish environment. Second language acquisition will occur naturally through techniques using body language, total physical response, music, puppets, technology, modeling, opportunities to practice, and hands-on learning.

Inmersión
ABC Children's Learning Center brinda a los estudiantes instrucción de contenido y actividades en inglés y español. Los estudiantes inscritos en el programa pueden tener inglés o español como primer idioma y aprender español o inglés como segundo idioma a través de técnicas de inmersión. Los estudiantes serán introducidos brevemente a los conceptos académicos en inglés. Esto brinda la oportunidad de reforzar sus conocimientos previos en inglés y activar sus mentes para prepararlos para aprender los conceptos en español. Después de la breve introducción en inglés el resto del día y la semana, el estudiante se sumergirá en español con el inglés utilizado como apoyo solo cuando sea absolutamente necesario. Los estudiantes cantarán, bailarán, jugarán, crearán y aprenderán en un entorno español. La adquisición del segundo idioma ocurrirá naturalmente a través de técnicas que utilizan el lenguaje corporal, la respuesta física total, la música, los títeres, la tecnología, el modelado, las oportunidades para practicar y el aprendizaje práctico.​

Our children enhance their learning through circle time, group studying, and individual work time. This allows them to be prepared to learn in any type of environment.
